The displays in the Photograph Exhibition Room show archive photographs and postcards of the locality.

Here you can see rare photographs such as the tented Hornsea Coliseum Skating Pavilion, the "gravel snatchers", thatched cottages in Mappleton and Seaton, and the old post offices in Skirlaugh and Hornsea.

Whilst it is difficult to recognise the scenes portrayed in some of the photographs, many show that there has been little change over the years apart from costume and transport.

Displays are updated occasionally and so return visits are recommended so that the full extent of the archive can be appreciated.
